Both of those cylinder chains would scare me, the bottom one can slip under the bottle and you have reduced the angle iron ability to restrain the bottle with your wood 'Improvement' Hi Dave, I can't see any problem with them, although I wouldn't bother putting the bottom one on even. Every industrial one I've used, only has one chain, and they are more or less fixed at the same height proportionally, with a full size cylinder. My own Supermig 170/1 has just one chain, about the same height as the one Taf_Plems has shown, and it doesn't even have any type of bar at the bottom, in fact the cylinder hangs over the edge of the platform by a little bit, and its never been a problem.
