Ni Mark!

The gears are the "same" in DP and Pressure Angle. the difference is that gears for the early MLs were driven / compounded by 3/32" pins in drillings part way through the gears ( to prevent them falling out ) where the 7 Series lathes the gears are keyed. I recently drilled an ex 7 Series gear for use on a ML3. It meant drilling right through an original gear to use as a guide, but it gave us two 60T gears to provide the finer feed rate.

Having made a gear or two for another ML4, (Probably why I had the cutter ) I was able to make a couple of 20T gears for the ML3. At least it got the machine up and running.
