48 forum posts 2 photos | As the OP I can confirm that my threading tool has a small radius on the tip, at least I got that bit right! I would however, point out that aluminium is an excellent choice for the exhaust adapter as the engine it is fitted to is not on a motorbike but is a 20cc four stroke designed for rc aircraft, see my previous post for details. Having made the spindle turning handle I intend to cut the threads by hand turning the spindle with back gear disengaged, did a trial (without workpiece) this evening and it's easy enough to turn. Just got to cut and shape another piece of 15mm plate to try it out for real. |
