Thread: LBSC Invicta frame plate question |
08/07/2013 12:48:37 |
Well, I think the best thing to do is start off machining the cylinders complete with steamchests, and then make the valve linkages to line up properly with the valve spindles. What I' m worriyng for more is how much/little side play is needed. |

Fizzy, Thanks for pointing that out. I believe that you mean the triangle shaped rocker arm? Here´s a link to a picture which shows that part. **LINK** Please correct me if I´m wrong. I don't have the plans at hand this late hour. By the way, do you work with castings or stock material? Alex |

Thanks Phil. Now I should be good to go. Unfortunately I don' t have the building article so just relying on the plans. |

Hi all, I'm building the frame plates for the 3.5" Invicta. The plans seem to be missing a dimension which sets the angle of the cylinders. There is a motion center line that starts from the rear main wheels, but no indication of the angle of that line. Is the angle not that critical? There are a few other measurements lacking as well so it makes scribing out the lines rather difficult. I do hope you understand what I mean. Thanks, Alex |
Thread: Cutting fluid when reaming |
15/08/2010 22:45:15 |
Hi all What type of cutting fluid do you recommend for reaming? I remember using denatured alcohol in school (for machining of course) but I'm not sure that was the correct fluid to use. Alex |
Thread: How to drill a square hole? |
21/07/2010 13:04:49 |
Seriously now.
![]() The buffer beams for my Invicta should have 1/8" cutouts for the coupling hook. What is the easiest way to do this? I guess I could drill four or so small holes and then file to get it square. Are there other options?
Thanks
