Hi Chris, thanks for your reply. I'll speak with Clarke tomorrow. How do you find your CL500? I am getting a milling vice soon and just trying to get a new bench finished.

As above I an a total newbie and have just aquired a Clarke CL500M lathe and milling machine. I am looking at cutting a 1mm thread on some 39mm aluminium but don't really know where to start. I last used a lathe around 23 years ago and can't see in the manual how to cut the threads.
 
Any advice would be much appreciated.
