Thread: Magnetic Milling Machine |
25/08/2010 19:13:49 |
It seems in the last few months my manual milling machine has taken on a magentic charge, all the steel chips are sticking the the cutters, vice and workpiece while held in place to be machined. Has anyone else had an issue like this and what does one do about it ? |

To whom it may concern,
After the complete rescan, I note that for the following issues, downloading of the following page (for each issue) and indeed of all subsequent pages, is not possible. The pages can be seen in the viewer, but the download process "hangs" at the stated page number.
Issue Page
4 69
6 71
8 53
16 62

Oakbank SA I just got issue 4 and 6 to print all pages but
8 and 16 still hang

Thread: Castings vs Steel ? |
29/01/2010 21:11:13 |
I am new here and enjoying this forum !
my question is why are so many parts made from
castings (so cast iron) vs steel
is cost the only reason? I see castings are not that cheap
I give a face plate as an example, whats wrong with machining
one out of steel, or the cross slide of a lathe, they are cast as well
but could be made out of steel

Thread: Issue 78 Missing |
06/01/2010 14:43:28 |
I also am dissappointed, having a hard copy subscription I was able to see from issue 122 to present, and they are in pretty good format so once I found out that in order to see the rest I needed a digitial subscription I went and paid my 29 pound ( not sure how many dollars CDN that is yet ) only to find what Gordon has found. missing pages, pages out of order, missing issues. I too would like to know what is going to done and when about this, money don't grow on trees and I sure don't feel like I am getting my moneys worth with the digitial subscription !
