I have been looking at makeing a morse taper MT2. On the internet theres lots of info but what size diameter round bar do i start off with and are there any tip that you all mite have.

well the 25mm round bar is for some dumbells i'm makeing and the 12x50 is for the bracket on the tailstock turret in this months MEW i no its only 68mm long but the steel i got were off cuts they dont cut peaces off off cuts. and the blocks were because i'm a magpie
maybe for some kind of tool post

ok Ian I done it this afternoon the problem was how to lock the spindle once i found that out i used KWIL's gizmo and it flew out. thank to all of you for your time.

OK KWIL i tryed that this afternoon with no joy its solid the only thing to hold the spindle with when tightening your gizmo is the spindle nut but all it was doing was tightening that so i give up and went and had some big soup it was freezing. Trev
