Thread: Downloading Digital Issue |
13/06/2018 10:55:53 |
Anyhow, with Win7 you are in a bad position, on pocketmags as well as mydigitalmagazine. You may read the magazine, but nothing else, no download, no offline reading, no saving to your PC. OK, you may print it to a real printer - but what is the sense of having a digital subscription which I can access only ONLINE? My in-laws live 6 miles from the next mobile tower - NO mobile phone, NO internet. I'm having a problem with getting the printed issues sporadically not arriving at my home as well, and when I ask for replacement they are out of stock (or don't arrive at my door....). And about piracy - well I got into contact with MEW through a pirated file, then looked around and subscribed

Thread: iGaging scale to quadrature converter, is there a design available? |
06/11/2015 11:58:07 |
@all Thanks for the information. I'm using my machines not so often nowadays, so leaving the scales 'on' might mean a month or two until I come back... So, doing this twice or more times may result in empty batteries when I need them. Going the PSU-way is a better solution for me. I have ordered the stabilizers already and will report. Peter |

Hi to all, this seems to be the only thread on iGaging scales. I hope someone in the know can answer my question. I have a set of 35-706 7 35-712 of the aforementioned scales on my X2 mill and would like to power them from an external source. I forget to switch them off..... What voltage should I give these 3 units (power I think will not be so much) - they have two 2032's in each, so either 3V or 6V stabilized? Thanks in advance Peter |
Thread: How do I access my Digital MEW subscription? |
19/01/2012 02:38:42 |
I have the same problem, trying to make them at Hobbystore understand, that we european customers might have a suscription with our supplier, but not with Hobbystore. So our subscription number is not registered with Hobbystore, and we therefore need a special solution to this problem. The digital archive is free to all subscribers, at least that is what the information in the magazine says, and that is exactly what the editor wrote in his column too. Three emails to Hobbystore and no positive reply yet, my last mail I sent a week ago. only slightly annoyed? |
Thread: Flip Up Internal Thread Cutting Tool |
16/07/2011 16:52:05 |
Congratulations! This must be the perfect follow up to Michael Cox''s Swing Up Tool Holder for external threads in MEW 178! Patented allready? If not, would you care to write an acticle on the construction of this simply perfect tool? I think the readers would greatly appreciate it. Looks simple to make, but the idea behind it is really great. I had tried to design something in that order, but only came as far as the result, that the rotating cutter could not be much bigger than half the diameter of the bore to be threaded. Then age and heat made me withdraw from further thinking. |
