Thanks for the answer.   It is so obvious, why didn't I think of that.   Now to make a rear mounting toolpost.

I have read, on a number of occasions in articles in MEW, parting-off using a rear mounted tool.   Would someone like to comment on the advantage of using this technique over the front mounting of the tool.   I use a QCTP so swapping tools is not a pain.
