Martin, I have no problem when I use the rear toolpost. I use it all the time on various materials including AISI 316L. But I agree, 2 mm wide would be better. |

I use ISCAR GNTN4 IC354 with rear tool holder and have used the same insert for a long time. If I put the tool in the front holder I don´t think I would be able to part off at all. It would chatter and the insert would break. I made the rear tool holder out of a piece of cast iron and I can't live without it. I have a small Warco 3 in one lathe/mill/drill that is not very rigid. I have removed the milling head as I got a X3 mill. |

May be you should let you vife off at Oxford street and aggrea to meet again after 4-5 hr. I think she will enjoy the "street" and are convinsed that this is the place for you. You may want to go back the next day. Me and my technical interested boy enjoy it very much and my vife can spend hr in OX street, that I hate and we are all happy. Good on your maith |
