Hi all. Thanks for the reply s , and to Brian yes i can see now that there is a direction arrow on the drum. Once i get the motor on and clean it up a bit i will have to get my head around setting it up . After reading and watching You Tube , i still am not quite sure on setting the ram in connection with the crank. ?? All for now. John. |

Hi. Can someone tell me which direction the motor turns on the 10M. And does it make any difference which way it turns. Am having to fit a new single phase one on a machine that i recently got , with a shot motor on. Thanks John. |

Thread: Midlands Model Engineering Show at Warwick |
19/10/2010 20:14:54 |
Hi all.
I attended the show as per usual on the Sunday, and the first thing i noticed as i got inside was the size of Warco, s stand to what they mostly have, and as i walked around i saw that a few more Companies had down sized there stand. Also a few that are normaly set up wert even there.??????
Is this a sign of the times or are the fees getting to big for the stalls to afford . ??
Any body else notice this.
But on the whole a good show.

Hi all.
I am thinking about making some gears for a Boxford Lathe, but at the mo i am trying to get my head around working out the gear blank size. (never any good in maths). For a gear with 55 teeth.
As i see it ,from what i have read up on, 55 teeth + 2 over 18 D P gives me 3.17 , is this fig 3" & 170 thou the dia of the blank ??
thanks for any input . Chubbs.
