Thank you both. I enjoyed manufacturing the worn hydraulic parts of my John Deere 955 utility tractor - it was made by Yanmar, under license to John Deere. Lovely piece of kit. Before that, I returned a 1976 Roper garden tractor back to working life, for a family member living in France. The Briggs and Stratton twin cylinder motor needed me to engineer some crank bearing parts. Its still working to this day. I now have thoughts of a steam engine to power a small launch (big bigger than a rowing boat). But thats for another day.

Hello. I have just joined the site. Have a Smart and Brown SAB lathe (without gearbox) which I am getting back to its best. It gets me out of the house and gives me a focus ! I have used it to make parts for tractor restorations. |
