Greetings peeps,

I have just become the proud owner of an MD65 courtesy of ebay. I am in the processes of cleaning it up as it was unused for over 5 years. I have read that screw cutting is bit hairy unless you have the slow speed mod, since that would almost double what I have paid I was wondering if its practical to use a voltage regulator to slow the speed of the motor like this one

Would anyone be able to offers some words of encouragement or caution on the matter ?
