Thanks for all your working out for my lathe , the conversations got to complicated for me so I bought a BSW die problem solved. But thanks for all your replies it has helped me immensely to understand the Chinese lathe. Cheers Julian |

Hi all i am trying to cut a 5/8 BSW thread on lathe, it is a chinese cd 210v lathe i have changed gear wheel to suit 11 tpi but when i cut thread it comes out at 2.5 on the thread gauge any idea what i am doing wrong please |

Hi I'm Julian from Snape I'm fairly new to machining done a little at college when I was 16 but that was 53yrs ago. Do a bit of woodworking but have always wanted a small lathe, my project at the present is refining the Chinese lathe I have obtained. Thanks for the support I have already received |

The reason for asking question is I have adjusted the plates on saddle there good but I can twist saddle from left to right it is a bit hard to explain. Hope you can understand |
