Clarke usually supply for the time the product is in the catalogue and roughly 5 years after, depending on how many spares they have in stock. It's not an exact science. The lathes you mention were made in China in one factory, after a bit of research. I found out that that factory had gone to the wall, and Clarke didn't bother to place orders with anyone else.

Apart from the cl300. The CL430 and larger lathes haven't been listed in the Machine Mart website for at least 5 years. No spares are available for those lathes. sorry to say. (I work there)

Ah, but the MD of course is not "no one". He is the MD. That's different.

Didn't give a monkeys at the last place I worked. If the MD or other 'higher up' flouted H&S rules that they had approved. I would tell them quite forcefully to remove themselves from the area. I was a Lowly FLT driver.

Hi All, Just joined this forum to further my knowledge and maybe help with problems that people may post. I'm 56, Have a garage/workshop with mostly woodworking machines, but also a few welders. I will have a go at building anything people suggest to me. Hope to learn a lot from here as well.
