Thread: Help! Warco 220 leadscrew gears. |
04/06/2019 22:36:39 |
I wondered if anyone either has a manual for this machine, or actually has this machine and can help.
I have just acquired this lathe, and it is missing all the screwcutting gears, and also (the biggest problem) the gear between the 32 tooth on the spindle, and the lever action 'friction plate' disc to drive the lead screw. I can work out the screw cutting gears to make, but I am struggling with the tooth count on gear that is meshed with the spindle and would appreciate any help.
There is an old thread regarding the warco 220, and I wonder if any of those with this machine are still active on this forum?..
Many thanks

Thread: Mashstroy C210T / Warco 220 help please |

Well I am between 5 and 9 years late to this post.
I have just picked up a Warco 220 for pretty much silly money. It has come from a school and appears to have had very little use, which is always nice
The downside is that it did not come with any tooling, or screwcutting gears. I knew this when I bought it. The second downside is that (probably for reasons of safety) the school un-installed the lead-screw drive mechanism. It is missing the gear which meshes with the spindle splines, the one with the 3 small pulleys for the 'friction disc' to engage in. Does anyone still have one of these lathes, and if so, would it be possible to have the dimensions and tooth count of this gear so I can make up a new one?.
Many thanks
