Gents, Thanks for your responses - the model exhibition looks like a good source of information - even just for browsing at this stage - and the Bristol Model Club also looks like an excellent place to start, so I can work out what to build. Cheers, Andy |

Hello, I'm new to model engineering, apart from metalwork at school many years ago (although I'm pretty sure I still have the screwdriver that I made then!). I'm taking this up as a hobby but haven't bought any equipment yet, as I thought I'd attempt to learn some skills first! I work in Bristol so any courses will have to be in the evenings. If anyone has any recommendations for training events I'd be grateful. Regards, Andy R
