Thread: DC motor wiring for a Myford ML7 |
15/07/2017 10:52:17 |
morning all, Reading through the threads, it looks like I made a good choice with the myford ml7, however, on collecting it, I managed to pull all the motor connections from the block, so now, struggling to work out where the wires go. The details. Motor is a Morse DC, with a 180v Armature and 200v FIeld. The motor controller is a Morse Cadet 50l. The isolator is the old rotary knob, i.e. 12 and 6 o'clock positions are off, 3 is on, presume fwd and 9 is on, presume reverse. The connections still in place are as follows. Block 1, live in and black cable out to speed controller. Block 2, power neutral in and red to isolator switch. Block 3, red from isolator and red to speed control. Block 4, brown from speed control. Block 5, blue from speed control, red from isolator. Block 6, yellow from speed control, black from isolator switch. Block7, black from isolator switch and Block 8, black from isolator. There is also a black from speed controller that does not join the main junction block. The motor has 4 wires, black, blue, brown and yellow/green. I believe that brown and blue are armature and black/yellow green are field. Is anybody able to advise as to where the motor cables connect to. Many thanks for any assistance. Paul. |
