Hi Hugh,

Sorry to be a bit dense, but when you mention 61 cat, is that a 1961 Stuart catalog?

Is that because the 800 was discontinued earlier?

As bad luck would have it, the (only) part that was damaged in shipping the engine to me was the carb - broken into three pieces. Assuming tbere are no longer any spare or replica parts for these, I will have it bonded then welded back together.

Hello,

I'm a long-time reader but first time poster. After a long wait, I am finally the happy owner of a Stuart Model 800 I/C engine. There are several things I am curious about in the case of my particular engine.

-First, the configuration of the ignition system is different to what I have see on all of the other 800's I have found on YouTube and other sources. Does the system on mine in the photos below look like one of the options available from Stuart or could it be a separately sourced solution?
- Also, mine has a cast aluminum carburetor on it, whereas in all other 800 engines I have seen, this carburetor is not used.
- And third and lastly, I have not been able to determine when Stuart ceased producing these model 800 S. If anyone has inside to that I would be most appreciative as well.
