I am mid fifties, used to work as architectural model maker and apprenticed in Zürich and then worked in London for a bit. I am now mainly interested in Boats as a hobby modler, have done a bit of RC sailing - sailed for real as well. The reason I came across this site is that I have a dream of making a working model of a trireme. What I would love to do is to do this with audio sound effects such as drum beating stroke timing and anything else that might raise an eyebrow! Can anyone point me towards how I might achieve this? I am sure I can source the sounds themselves or make them up myself, but what kind of electronics; situated in the boat and triggered by RC?
