Hi,

With this engine I decided to make another car.
I began by chassis and wheels that had adapted.
Also manufactures an alcohol burner.
With RC station I control the passage of steam.

then put a servo to control the direction and also changed the ratio of the transmission and greatly improves speed (weighs 9.5kg.)

Thread: Steam engine - homemade

Hello,
When testing the car I noticed that the curves slowed and the driving wheels skid slightly. To fix I decided to make a differential.
I changed the tractor to the rear axle and the front direction.
I did the front axle swing arm to better fit the ground.
Now it works much better.
This video shows the construction of differential and tests:

My tools are slim, I have only an electric drill and hand tools.
My knowledge of mechanics were almost nil but my enthusiasm to get to an engine was big

Thank you for your attention and best regards

Thank you very much Michael. I think now how.
After making the car I wanted him steering the rear axle. Powered by a steel cable like the old remote control cars:

As it has a single cylinder 12 mm. diameter lacked strength and increase the diameter to 14 mm.
This is the result:

Then another cable controlled the passage of steam. I also built wheels:

I hope having published it right this time.
