Hello Les, i don't know sorry, i have taken a photo of the connections but they mean nothing to me, unfortunately i don't even know if it all worked before it was passed to me.

Hello all, need to pick your brains.

I have just acquired a 3 phase motor, inverter and newton tesla control pendant.

The motor is an old Crompton Parkinson motor, the inverter is a Mitsubishi.

Problem I have is the motor does not seem to have any power, so much so you can stop the pully that’s attached by hand,

I am no expert with this so am going to pass to an electrician to look but just thought before I do it might be worth asking.

Thanks all.

Thread: Anyone bought a new Myford
27/11/2018 10:05:25

Hello all.

John, yes they were, thank you.

I think what I was trying to get at but not very well is this.

I’m going to assume that new Myfords are made from new parts not old stock, this being the case are the new parts to the same standard, or better maybe than they were back in the day.

Thanks all for the reply’s, but all I really wanted to know was if anyone could offer a review on a newly built Myford, not planning on buying one as I am very happy with my 1960’s super 7, just interested to know how they are getting on.

Thanks.

Hello all.

About to start making the eccentric rods for my engine, unsure if to machine from solid or do as the book says and fabricate, can i ask what others have done ?

Thanks

26/10/2018 14:17:11

Hello.

See above.

Anyone any thoughts on drilling this eccentric ?

25/10/2018 13:29:01

Hello all.

Quick question regarding the eccentrics, should i drill them to allow access to the grub screw to adjust the timing ?

Also, once i finish the motion work i plan to start the front end, not sure if to go down the roller root as something different, has anyone done this ?

Thanks
