Hi Bill / Chris Many thanks for your prompt replies. If you can please provide contact details of LSM and Adrian Nutting, this would be helpful. Thank you. |

Hello. Over the recent couple of years, I've been building a Burrell 4.1/2" gauge traction engine. It's nearing completion and needs the gears to be cut. I don't have gear cutting experience or the necessary tooling and would prefer to to have someone do these for me. If you have any personal experience with such a person or company, I'd be very grateful to hear from you. Kind regards Howard

Thread: BOXFORD lathe part |

Hi Gents
Many thanks for your explanations and help, really appreciated. Now I understand what this lock consists of, as you suggested I'll get some brass bar and make the items myself. Being new to this forum I must say, it's brilliant to find such helpful people willing to share both knowledge and time. When I've completed the parts, I'll photograph them and share with you all. Again, thank you for your help. |

Hi Gents Many thanks for your help. The lathe is a 3656 mk1. [see photos] It would be good if anyone who has a lathe of this type could just unscrew the item and take a photo of iot so we'd know what it looks like in the event that I need to either make or, have one made. |

Hello I've just purchased a BOXFORD lathe. It's in good order however, the tailstock lock bolt with handle / knob is missing. Q. does anyone have a spare they could sell me please or, could make one for me ? New to this web forum. If you need photos, please let me know. Kind regards Howard |
