We have some pictures, yay, Well this is where im up to with the cylinders, the rear caps need a slight bit of relief for the bolts to sit flush, the nut needs making for the slide valve's both covers need making and i need to machine another steam chest after messing one up "doh" Thanks for looking Pete |

Hi Ryan, What you have described makes perfect sence, I just wasnt sure if the copper would buckle even when annealed Thanks for your help Your progress is brilliant, i have just recieved my 7BA taps (for the steam chest) in the post this morning now im ready to make the top caps and they will soon be done All the best Peter |

Hi Ryan, Cant help with the driving truck unfortunately, I do have another question though, when forming the flanges on the outer skin of the bulk head (not sure of its propper name) for the boiler do they have to be spliced so that they bend round the 90 degree? I hope you understand what im on about, i think i do but only just haha, i can visualise what i mean but cant turn it into words haha Thanks Pete |

Well i finally started work on little tich, ive made one complete buffer beam and i have made a second one but that needs the brackets making and fitting, i forgot to take pictures ![]() ![]() |

Hi David, The info and diagrams/simulations in that link are a great help, i will probably spend hours watching those now With regards to the comments people have made about Tich, i see it as somewhere to start and also somewhere to start learning, if something is wrong with it its easy and cheap enough to throw away and amend it, im not after a top notch loco at the moment, im after something that will teach me and wont break the bank if i make mistakes thanks for your link Pete |
