I had to use a small parallel between the topslide and the device as the plates weren't quite flush. (Since remedied.) Checked against an ER25 collet on a reversed 16mm endmill held in the three-jaw, there was 0.002 inch variation over the length of the collet. Not bad, I reckon, considering it was done in a bit of a hurry and wearing a pair of old bifocals!
