To make the job easier, I turned a jig from 1013 steel. The stem of the jig was turned to provide a snug press fit in the outer spindle bore. The smaller hole was for the pilot drill; the larger hole was for the # 29 drill required to tap 8-32 for the grub screw that I intended to use.
