Headstock spindle.

The trusty and magnificent, if a little scruffy, Smart and Brown model 'A' toolroom class lathe about to be used to polish up the spindle to reduce the scratches and scoring caused by all that sand and swarf that China kindly includes, along with lots of rust, in some of its cheaper geared head lathes. This lathe kept me sane during the many miserable hours spent correcting the new one.
