This is a Baldwin Locomotive Works factory model (of which 2 were made) of the WW 1 US Navy Gun Car which mounted the 14" battleship rifle firing a 1400 lb. projectile 30,000-40,000 yards. Dimensions are overall length 47", barrel length 29 1/2", height 7", width 5", weight with base 60 lbs. Working parts are the breech, elevation mechanisms, brakes, counterweights, ammunition loader and bumpers. Construction is all steel with sheet metal side panels.
